My Workouts

 Hey guys, it's Lydia here (I had to use my movie opening =P) and today I'm going to tell you all my workouts. I've had a lot of fun over the past month or so coming up with the perfect workout for me. So I encourage you if you're going to come up with a workout, to use the exercises that you think are best for your body and not just copy mine or someone else's. So, let's dive in!

Morning Jog:
Every morning I jog up and down our hill 25 times (I add another five every week or so). It sounds like the simplest, dumbest thing you've ever heard but it gets me awake and it's just so good to get outside. I started by just running for 15 minutes and at first, that was 15 times but after a few weeks I got stronger and faster and add a little more. I would really recommend you to run or a least walk outside! It gets you in the fresh air and you're exercising! You could walk around the block once or twice or you could go to a park or something for a more scenic route.

Strength and Abs:
Sometime in the afternoon, I do my second workout of the day. I'll either do strengthing or cardio. I know I should do both every day but at this point, that sounds like too much work!
 For strength, I do-
10 Squats then squat for 10 seconds and repeat
10 Modified Push-ups
20 Tricep Dips
20 Lunges on each side
10 Bicep Curls with 3 lb dumbells on each side
And 10 things were I have the dumbells on my side and lift them above my head (don't know if that has a name =P)
And repeat that once.

Then for the abs-
20 Regular Crunches
20 Regular Crunches with my legs up, knees bent
20 Crunches with my legs
20 Double Crunches
And repeat that once.
Then I'll hold a bridge for a least 20 seconds

Then at the end, I'll do stretches for a cooldown-
Quad Stretch 20 Seconds on each side
Stadle Stretch for 30 Seconds
Hamstring Stretch for 20 Seconds on each side
Butterfly Stretch for 30 seconds

Cardio:
On the days where I don't feel like being strong, I'll do cardio-
Jump Rope for 30 seconds
Jumping Jax for 30 seconds
High Knees for 30 seconds
Hamstring Kicks (I think that what they're called) for 30 seconds
Jump Squats for 30 seconds
And repeat once.

Then I'll do a bridge for 20 seconds

And then I'll do the stretches from before.

Evening Stretches:
In the evening I like to relax by doing stretches before bed-
Shoulder Stretch (where you bring one arm across and hold it with the other arm) for 15 secs on each side
Tricep Stretch 15 secs on each side
Spine Twist (sit up and have one leg straight and the other knee bent, twist the direction of your knee) 10 secs on each side
Stadle Stretch for 30 secs
Butterfly Stretch 30 secs
And any other I feel like.

So yeah, that's my workout for the day! I hope it inspired you to workout!

  1. Weeow, impressive! I've been doing the WUM's workout for 3 months now. Happy I've been able to keep at it!
